16x40 inches “Trust Fall” Starship Booster Catch ORIGINAL painting (Textured)

This painting was incredibly fun to do. When I sat down I wasn’t really sure HOW I wanted to paint the booster catch, I just knew that was the goal. I used two reference images by the incredible John Krauss and C Nunez (Starbase Surfer) a nighttime static fire video to create this. The textured “framing” was something I just sort of came up with while working. Did it turn out exactly how I pictured? No. However, I really don’t hate the way it turned out.
